First, though, I’d just like to kindly ask those who get to play in the dirt for a living to kindly STOP TAKING AWAY ALL THE COOL DINOSAURS! We keep this up and it might turn out that Carl Everett is right.
Today’s last panel was a huge conflict for us. It’s one of those strips where we’re worried people might not get the joke, but at the same time we felt any lines of dialogue in that panel would say “hey, look, we’re trying to be funny!” It’s a fine line between being a bit vague and hoping the audience can make the connection and not giving enough information. I think we did a good enough job here, but it remains to be seen.
Then, of course, we have to hope people find it funny.
Also, what makes me most proud of this strip is that we didn’t go the obvious route, which would be Zeke in the last panel being all undead. Expect the unexpected.
Finally, rumor has it Zeke got a job. Maybe we’ll see what it is on Monday.
